Built in 1955 by the Soviet architect L. Rudnev, the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw is one of the most recognizable symbols of the capital of Poland. The report attempts to analyze the place of this iconic building in modern Polish discourse through the prism of discussions about post-socialism, national identity, historical memory, post-colonialism and the right to the city concept.
