XI All-Russian Scientific Conference "Cancel Culture and Social Ostracism in History and Modernity", May 17, 2024
The conference will take place at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Ekaterinburg, Sofia Kovalevskaya St., 16)
The following issues are planned to be discussed at the conference:
- Cancel culture as a subject of interdisciplinary research
- Cancellation policies in the context of historical oblivion
- Memory and oblivion in the context of sociocultural transformations
- Subjects and practices of historical oblivion
- Places of memory and places of oblivion: in search of ontological status
- Historical and modern forms of ostracism
- Cancel culture: ways of research and language of description
- Cancellation practices in the digital space: features and patterns

The working languages of the conference are Russian and English.
Travel expenses at the expense of the sending organization. Based on the results of the conference, articles will be selected for publication in the journal “Tempus et Memoria”. Publication is free.

The organizing committee reserves the right to reject articles that do not correspond to the theme of the conference, have a low scientific level, or are prepared in violation of established requirements.
