On January 26, 2021, a theoretical seminar "The concept of structural law in non-classical science and the methodology of structuralism" was held at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Summary:

The discovery of scientific laws is the goal of science. The transition from classical to post-non-classical science leads to the transformation of the meaning of scientific laws. If classical science recognizes natural, unchanging laws that include dynamic and static aspects, then at the stage of non-classical science in all its areas, an attitude towards the discovery of structural laws was formed. We find an analysis of structural laws both among representatives of science itself - A. Einstein, N. Bourbaki, F. de Saussure, V. Shklovsky, V. Propp, K. Levi-Strauss, etc., and among the methodologists of structuralism (R. Barthes , J. Deleuze and others). In the first decades of the twentieth century, researchers (in physics, mathematics, linguistics, literary studies) come to the conclusion that the laws of statics / synchrony / stability make it possible to reveal the inner world of the objects under study, their relative autonomy. The search for structural laws is associated with the procedures for the deconstruction of the original objects and their modeling in the form of language systems. The formal and symbolic nature of the elements, the structure as the order of their relations, allow us to reach the theoretical level of research associated with the discovery of structural laws. In post-non-classical science, laws acquire a historical and genetic character, revealing evolution as self-organization.
