The article aims to explore the axiological potential of solidarity as a constitutional and legal value in Russia, through examining basic approaches to this concept within the framework constitutionalism. It highlights the role of solidarity in addressing contemporary external and internal threats to the Russian Federation and situates this value among other constitutional and legal principles. The article correlates solidarity with values such as social state, federalism, trust, justice, and equality. Furthermore, it establishes a connection between human rights and solidarity, concluding that these concepts are not mutually excluded; rather, they underpin the constitutional legal order by balancing individualism with collectivism, along with private interests and public good – encompassing the interests of individuals, society and the state. The article also discusses the influence of solidarity on shaping the constitutional identity of the Russian state and fostering an all-Russian civil identity. In conclusion, it identifies areas for enhancing Russian legislation regarding the regulation the mechanisms that guarantee solidarity as a constitutional and legal value, while ensuring consolidating mechanisms.
