The processes of changing social requirements for the quality of political and legal knowledge dictate the need to rethink both existing public law practices and theoretical aspects based on outdated and ideologically loaded models.
A review of existing historiographical approaches to political and legal thought in Russian and Western literature shows that the existing structure and content of political and legal knowledge does not meet the needs of modern Russia and does not always meet the criteria of scientific reliability.
We propose to pay attention to the possibilities of creating a verified system of political and legal knowledge, as well as to consider the features and contradictions of the formation in the public sphere of a general civil Russian narrative associated with explaining the historical and cultural sovereignty of the Russian nation.
The following issues are planned to be discussed within the framework of the conference:
• Models of reconstruction of political and legal knowledge and methods of their analysis
• Ideological distortions in existing historiographic models and methods of protecting historical truth
• Historiographic problems of applying the civilizational approach in political and legal studies
• Development of Russian political and legal culture
• Mechanisms of political and legal regulation of values and institutions that ensure effective reproduction and social cohesion of the Russian nation
• Features and contradictions of the formation of a general civil narrative in the public sphere
During the conference, it is planned to discuss and adopt scientific, methodological and expert recommendations for government bodies of the Russian Federation.
Following the conference, a collection of selected articles will be published in Russian and English with subsequent posting in the RINTS and RSCI systems.
